A group of five teenagers was caught fleeing from Florida police in a golf cart in the Triple Creek community in Riverview on Wednesday (19). The chase was captured in a military-style infrared video.
A tense pursuit was shared on the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office’s social media. The offenders were a group of teenagers, ages 14 to 16, who had stolen a golf cart.
Authorities used a helicopter with infrared technology to spot the suspects in the middle of the night. The footage shows a police car following the golf cart to a clubhouse in the Triple Creek community in Riverview.
At one point in the video, the teenagers jumped out of the cart and ran in different directions.

“After several foot pursuits, all five were apprehended,” said the sheriff’s office.
Sheriff Chad Chronister stated that the equipment used in the pursuit was not excessive. “Theft, regardless of the item, is a violation of the safety and security of our community,” he said.
“We will continue to protect the property of our residents and hold those who break the law accountable for their actions,” he concluded.
